This slow cooker chili is packed with flavor and perfect for busy days. Simply brown the beef and onions, then let your slow cooker do the rest of the work!
Ingredients: 2 lbs ground beef. 1 onion, chopped. 4 cloves garlic, minced. 2 14.5 oz cans diced tomatoes. 1 15 oz can tomato sauce. 1 15 oz can kidney beans, drained and rinsed. 1 15 oz can black beans, drained and rinsed. 1 cup beef broth. 2 tablespoons chili powder. 1 tablespoon cumin. 1 teaspoon paprika. 1 teaspoon oregano. Salt and pepper to taste. Optional toppings: shredded cheese, sour cream, chopped cilantro, diced avocado.
Instructions: In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the ground beef. Cook until onion is translucent. Transfer cooked beef, onion, and garlic mixture to the slow cooker. Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, kidney beans, black beans, beef broth, chili powder, cumin, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper to the slow cooker. Stir to combine. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until flavors are well combined and chili has thickened to your desired consistency. Serve hot with optional toppings as desired.
