#one of the best things about my relationship is how we've prioritized communicating#not constant communication#but being consistent#thorough#and honest#when we need to be#especially when there's room where we can't pick up on things like when we're on the phone and can't see each other that day#idk there's so much room for resentment to build in a relationship#when you're bothered at something they said or did#and if you don't communicate that you're never gonna resolve it#and we've made a point to clear up anything that could lead to resentment#we get along so well#but we both struggle with being in our own heads with emotions and things going on in our lives#being able to communicate well and get each other our of our own heads#and being so willingly to work with each and meet each other where we're at#is one of the best things i've ever experienced#i am so lucky to have ash
