1. What was your last therapy session like?
I could not tell ya. I don't remember much of it. I don't remember when it was. This actually reminded me to go actually check when I last went and schedule a new appointment. Whoops.
2. Day Thirteen: Has anyone ever noticed you were multiple before you told them? Do animals seem to know the difference in your switches?
Oh my god dudes it feels like everyone knew before we did, it was fucking bullshit. Everyone we told was like "yeaaaah we've known for a hot second, glad you finally know though" like???? I mean to be fair in hindsight it's so obvious but a good portion of us had no idea at all for a long time.
Our cats notice, yeah. They have favorites. It's really cute.

1. What are some ways that depersonalization and derealization appear in your day to day life?
I mean, we're dealing with them pretty much all the time. So here:
We are horror fans, so we have to be constantly careful with the type we consume. If we get hit with a "this is all fake" or "I'm fake" there is a chance our symptoms get worse so we make sure we go into horror doing as well as possible. Gaslighting, hallucinations, and the like being represented in media (or happening irl) can also trigger an episode for us.
We also have to take specific precautions when we drive too.
During bad days, we cannot look into mirrors. We try not to look at the body in general. If the light hits our arm the wrong way, it gets worse.
We have a film project that we had to put on hiatus because seeing ourselves on camera made shit worse.
That's just a few examples of what it looks like for us. There are more.
2. Day Ten: Have you ever done a system map? How extensively have you mapped your system?
Not a big one, but we do use Obsidian for keeping track of things. The mobile version isn't the most intuitive for us so we will probably try shifting to our laptop. We have the basics though!

We forgor lol
1. What misinformation about DID irks you the most?
Siiiiigh. There's a lot. It's hard to pick just one.
We've noticed people tend to draw a lot of conclusions about DID, OSDD, P-DID - CDDs in general that aren't actually really tied in fact or research. I don't have the energy to elaborate haha.
I think what really sucks the most is the "DID/OSDD/other CDD is a superpower" thing we see sometimes. There is something so uniquely painful with it. It's so offensive to us and it ties in to the ableist "disability is a superpower" thing we see. No, this isn't a superpower. "The ability to be highly dissociative is a gift" genuinely and truly fuck you. We hate that so much. It should be obvious, but a CDD is not a superpower. It is a rather debilitating mental disorder. 🗝️🐚
2. Day Nine: What level of co-consciousness do you have? How do you feel your communication skills are within the system? How do you want to grow in those skills?
Depends on how you catch us. Parts like JJ (🧩) have a much easier time with communication. Parts like May (🌀 not xir real name) have a much harder time. Some of us can only communicate with other parts through external notes. It all depends on how high the dissociation barrier is between parts. Our dog pack /affectionate (🧩🦷🌙🫀) have lower barriers with each other. You get the picture. Co-con is a messy game but we are capable of it.

Yapping about how we heard about DID and how we found out under the cut
1. When did you first learn/hear about DID, if it was prior to your diagnosis?
The very very first time we heard of DID it was called MPD and it was referenced in a grammar textbook in an example sentence. I don't know why that memory is so vivid, but it is. It's one of the few snapshot memories we have of middle school.
We learned about it properly in college. I think it was Intro to Psychology? We tangentially covered DID there and covered it a bit more in another psychology class. We still had absolutely no idea though. They were taught, but not super in detail.
We did quite a bit of research on dissociative disorders for this degree too. Not specifically for CDDs but because one of our big research projects was maladaptive daydreaming and we were examining intersections between it and other conditions, and since it was being considered as a potential dissociative disorder, we wanted to examine its potential fit there.
Now we're here, getting evaluated for it with our doctor suspecting it lol. This is not what our original suspicion was. Not even close.
2. Day Eight: How did you first discover you were plural? Was it before, after, or during diagnosis?
Currently in the process of being evaluated or diagnosed, so technically during. Depends on how you define "during". We were well into therapy when we found out.
I know we talked about this on one of the other days, but I don't remember how much detail or what was said. Some parts became aware before other parts. That caused some problems for us hardcore and it was really scary. I don't know how we started becoming aware. I think things started clicking for some of us. Our system friends were aware of us well before we were and they made sure we had access to books and resources without "cracking the egg". It's not an interesting story, but you know. 📌

1. Not applicable. Still trying to get into treatment.
2. Day Seven: How many parts do you know of in the system? How many know about each other?
So far, strictly numbers, we have about 18 that we are aware of. We know of several who are all but confirmed, as it's hard to figure out who's who sometimes
We keep multiple logs that are easily accessible. We all know, for the most part I think, of each other. Could I list em all? Probably not. Have we all interacted with each other? No, definitely not. But with the logs we all know each other mostly.

1. Are you, as a whole, in a relationship? How does romantic partnership work for you?
No. There are many reasons why we are not and why we may never be. It's just much too complicated right now, and the safest option for all of us is to not deal with it. - 🪴
2. Day Six: How do you feel about talking about the trauma which created your condition? Do you like to write about it privately or publicly? Why?
Woaaaah no. Privately, to close friends, yes, they know a lot of it. Publicly? Absolutely not, at least not with any specificity. Don't trust the wider internet or casual people in your life to have your best interests at heart.
People have shown us, over and over again, that if they have something on you that they can hurt you with, they will. It's best to monitor where information about you goes and who is privy to it.

Ofc, we may augment some questions or omit them if we feel the need.
1. When and how did you find out you have DID? (Non-Part)
It depends on who in this system you are talking to. Our big awareness happened late last year. We went through a very stressful period that caused a lot of symptoms we were able to overlook to become much more obvious. At that point, several of us became aware of the system, but the primary fronter at the time was not aware until system friends intervened.
They did not tell us outright, but made sure that we had any resources or information we may need. They were excellent and I have tremendous respect for how they handled it and how they helped us.
Tl;Dr: Late 2025, puzzle was put together (with assistance - good lord we needed it)
2. Describe your system. What kind of system, how big, anything you feel is a good introduction. (Wordpress)
We have a complex dissociative disorder. We're not sure the kind yet as we are still in the process of getting evaluated and diagnosed and have done a tremendous amount of research both during syscovery and during our undergraduate psychology program.
I'm approximating around 30, but we aren't sure. We have a hard time telling who's who quite often. Someone else over here might give you a different number.
We can go into the nuances of structure later if it's asked. It's a little complicated.
We do not do roles unless someone feels very strongly about them! We find defining ourselves by our "function" to be a little...not great? We also don't like calling ourselves ANPs or EPs outside the context of talking about ToSD. Most of us have names, but some don't. We alternate between we and I. Many of us tend to speak very medically. We are also totally incompetent with technology lol! You will never see a fancy layout or blinkers or any of that cool stuff.
That should sum up day 1!
Thanks for reading!

PS! Here's the wordpress:
There are a number of these ask memes floating around the internet, and we thought we might as well start one for the DID folks around WordP
