Floods Revive

She goes down the river

the best thing there ever was

why do i even bother

looking through the mud

I went into the wardrobe

reached behind the button downs

for a skinny dress jacket and a silver necklace

with a black swan on it

that fits real good

I think it belongs to me

Ahh but I think I have found

somewhere where I can be proud

even if I am darker than when I began
