There once was a girl |
There once was a girl
Who stayed indoors
And didn’t go outside
For preference of bedroom floors.
She wasn’t scared,
Or dull,
Or plain,
She just preferred the indoor games.
She is quiet and small,
With an oval girlish face,
And a dazzling smile,
Which no one can replace.
She thinks a lot,
And has plenty to say,
But for the most part,
Quiet she remains.
She likes to make conversation,
With interesting people,
From her computer screen,
while clicking away on the keyboard.
But don’t worry or fret,
She does get out.
In her little red focus,
Going about.
A few of the stops she really likes,
Are the park,
The lake,
And any other nice place.
Just a simple girl,
with a twinkle in her eye
With a paradoxical nature,
And an oxymoronic mind.
Just a simple girl,
“Hey that’s me. “
At least I’m sure it is.
But I still have places to see.
I have a long ways to go,
and it’s pretty alone,
But for anyone willing to take the journey,
I leave my hand outstretched,
Join me in this adventure,
Let’s write a memory-
Forget the outlined sketch.

I'm honest to god better at public speaking.
