Oh you think your last 48 hours have been difficult Skyler? Crimeny...
Also... I've got mixed feelings about this scene...
He asked her not to tell anyone... that's a big ask for sure. A loved one getting terminal cancer isn't something you can easily just keep under wraps and go about pretending everything is fine, but nonetheless it is his health and his private information...
I wanna emphasize, I don't think he should've tried to hide it from Skyler. When you marry someone you become a family unit, your private life is your private life but there are some things they kinda need to know about because you function as a pair and work and live together.
I don't think then trying to hide it from the rest of the family was gonna be possible but....... still.... He asked her not to tell anyone, and then when she breaks out in tears what does she say to her sister? "Ask him!" all accusatory as if he's done something wrong. And Marie looks at him as if he's done something horribly wrong.
And he did do something wrong by keeping it from his wife, but... it's not his fault for getting lung cancer. I don't think Walt deserved to be thrown under the bus like that, for her to just say "Ask him!" and then leave him alone at the table to explain. Then everyone comes in and she admits that he was hiding it and he asked her not to tell anyone about it. Just... airing all the dirty laundry for them. Like damn Skyler... she's got a right to be mad with him, but that all just felt so vindictive...
