Letting my boy Ezio be silly🗣️🗣️🗣️
hello lezio nation
*crickets*
Apple of Eden (like literally) 🍎
I kinda hate how devs and writers actually didn't explain why Leonardo actually had to leave Florence in ACII and hinted on (allegedly, but I personally am tending to believe in) his attraction to men only later in the ACB and the da Vinci's Disappearance dlc. Like yeah not that it was a popular topic for exploring in games at that time and yet it was a good chance to give his relationship with Ezio a start point for developing in any way, like, besides codex pages and blade's improvements of course.
Because like imagine Ezio seeing his only actual friend caring solely for him and never wanting anything but mutual respect and friendship as bare minimum back being devastated because of (allegedly) false accusations that cost him a career in Florence and led to him running away from the city he loved and worked for without any chance for regaining his reputation for years. Imagine him calming Leonardo and (considering in-game database's way of telling his story) telling him it's fine and he doesn't hate him for that. Imagine them actually falling for that.
Like, if we were able to make choices in that game at that time and they'd matter, that would be a very good starting point for their relationship ngl.
If they could have had children.
Leonardo would have wanted boys not because he doesn't like girls but because boys have an easier way through life. Especially if they had a non-traditional start. A bastard boy may still find an apprenticeship and make his way up in the world just as Leonardo did. So why wouldn't the same be true for a boy with two fathers?
Ezio he wants girls. He doesn't quite know why. Perhaps it's how close he was growing up with his little sister or perhaps the knowledge that people consistently underestimate girls and so they're more likely to survive like his mother and sister did when his father and brothers died. But I think it's cuz he's always rooting for the underdog in any situation and he knows that girls are deeply underestimated
