Thought about something I haven’t in awhile and realized it might be helpful to others who need it if I posted it here:

When the Bible talks about “honoring” one’s parents, ancient world concepts of bringing honor are *absolutely* inclusive of the concept of being an improvement over previous generations. So if you’ve ever felt like you can’t keep the 10 commandments because your parents are abusive or that’s been part of a background of religious abuse, know that being a better person than they were is absolutely 100% a valid way of shaking off that baggage and a valid way to interpret that scripture.

the blessing and curse of being a writer is having a wide fan base. every time I log onto any social site just to relax and laugh or vent or whatever, I get bombarded with questions asking me when I'm going to update a story. it's like I have a life too. I work two jobs and go to school AND apartment hunting. I'm just going to start ignoring people or blocking them. I'm just so tired. I don't need your pressure on top of the bullshit I'm already dealing with.
