rational brain: transmasc is annoyingly ill-defined but still can be a useful umbrella sometimes, and while i might not personally consider myself masculine *overall* there are definitely significant masculine *elements* to my gender that cissexism does not want to be there

#sigh.#the meaning of transmasculine i am personally attached to is 'afab person who is wholly or partially a man'#but almost no one else means it that way#and what they do mean frequently makes me Uncomfortable#but also i don't want to seem like i have smthn *against* non-trans-man-transmascs whatever your definition#i'm just... tired#like. urgh. ppl are constantly erasing transmasc femininity. but they're also constantly Raising Awareness#of it#but i don't see myself in the form they Raise Awareness for either#like... not every gnc man wants to wear skirts#there are lower levels of male femininity than ''crossdressing'' and they're still subversive#men wearing full faces of flawless makeup is afaik a p recent development#at least since the 1700s#like... gnc men are not just mimicking gender conforming hyperfeminine women there's more to it than that#not saying anyone's Less Queer for doing so or w/e#but some of you can't seem to comprehend like...... androgyny lol#gender non conformity that does not seek to conform to *either* expectation#i mean. i get why ppl might not. trying to be seen as deliberately gnc rather than just 'ugly' or 'tomboyish' as an afab person is rlly har#and a lot of ppl have to go hypermasc just to get across that.
