The concept of Insecticon Bumblebee is very fun, very good... but I am very, very attached to the idea of little Espionage unit Bumblebee whose specialty is Aggressive Mimicry. The Insecticons, but especially Kickback, HATE his ass. He sounds like an Insecticon, has the undercurrent tones in his vocoder, has a vaguely recognizable (once on Earth) insect name but he is very much not an Insecticon. They want him dead soooo bad.
#this applies to the g1-inspired fan continuity thing I'm developing#and also an es fan cont along the same lines as the above#but teehee#also idky but in developing these silly worldbuilding ideas I am attached to the concept that bumblebee and kickback loathe each other#like. they're foils (in my conts) but they actively try to maul the other to death if given the chance away from peering eyes
