Pardon my curiosity, but what about marriage makes you think you never want to do it? I understand most people's pros and cons for the matter but I'm just curious as far as your take on the matter ^^

That’s fine! Its a bit of a personal question (i am BRIGHT red as I type this holy shit) but its good to talk about it cuz then hopefully someone else feels the same way??? And knows they’re not alone???Marriage just doesn’t feel like... me. Id feel like I’d be lying to myself just to make everyone else happy. Gross. Its not so much a pro/con thing as it is a “holy shit I would be SO EMBARRASSED getting married in front of family members and they will all know I love this person this is THE WORST THING TO HAPPEN TO ME SOMEONE PLS END ME RN” thing. And makes my anxiety spike right through the roof. Here’s why:

I get embarrassed at the idea of vows and romantic gestures

I get embarrassed the thought that a bunch of people from both sides of the family will be coming together to witness the thing ugh

I get embarrassed at the idea that people will be watching us profess our love UGH

I get embarrassed at social gatherings where I am the centre of attention because of love or whatever the fuck UGUHGUGHUGHUGH

I don’t like the original concept of marriage or what its become

Spending money on an event like that freaks me out and makes me feel AWFUL

DIVORCE IS SO EXPENSIVE TOO JESUS FUCK

I am not religious/spiritual

I will say this tho... I am sentimental, to an extent. I really do like the idea of exchanging rings as a symbolic... thingy. That’s about all I’d do, and only in the privacy of our own space, be it on a trip or in our own shared home. When we feel ready. The end.

Now excuse me while I go find a bucket of ice to burry my head in.
