Ngl got the longest time I thought the hermits were in their 20s bc they're always drawn so young (with the obvious exception of tfc) and honestly they all sound pretty young (though what would really make my day is seeing tfc drawn with clear laughter lines and general wrinkles)

Yeah!! I have no idea how hard wrinkles are to draw, and I get why everyone sort of ends up looking young in a simple cartoon-y art style, but honestly? Every time I see a middle-aged Hermit drawn looking actually middle-aged I get 10 years added on to my lifespan, if you are an artist and you do this I love you.

#something something 'issue with youth being held as the gold star ideal in both the gaming and the art community'#i just woke up and I'm not actually especially mad so i won't go on a rant about it but it does bug me a little sometimes #obviously everyone can do what they want with their art; and I'm no exception to this; but I'm also a total noob with art in general #I'm lucky if i can get a person to look like a Person never mind a person with a set age #but; yeah #the Hermits are different from other m*yt in that they are not super young #they are varied in age and wildly skilled in terms of experience level and I'd kind of like to see that more reflected in the art #they're also all friends!! across their varied ages!! because that's a thing you can do!#especially when you're an adult #i just think that's a really cool and good dynamic to have; just a community of mutual respect and friendship like that #even when some people don't have a lot in common; including age and other things #anyway. this is all just a very long way to say that i love seeing any hermit art but especially art where they look closer to their irl age #artists you're all doing amazing thank you for your service o7 #ask
