Meme: Send me ‘hey’ and I’ll fill this out! | Mutuals only
1. First impression: You seemed reserved; not necessarily shy, but certainly composed and a fan of brevity. (Which is, of course, not at ALL a bad thing.) I was very impressed with your interpretation of Viola from the beginning, and I’m so pleased to see the friendship between our muses slowly starting to develop the more we write together.2. Truth is: Your platonic-shipping headcanons for Edgeworth and Viola are seriously the BEST. I only wish that I had the time to write each and every one of them out, because they’re all genius!3. How old do you look: I can say with every confidence that I have no earthly idea. XD4. Have you ever made me laugh: Oh, yes – with headcanons of Viola teasing Franziska in Italian!5. Have you ever made me mad: No.6. Best feature: Your dedication to your character and doing her justice always shines through whenever you write through her point of view. It’s obvious that you care a great deal about making sure that everything you post and write is the best that it can be; that’s quite an admirable trait to have.7. Have I ever had a crush on you: No.8. You’re my: Platonic Shipping friend!9. Name in my phone: n/a10. Should you post this too? You already have!
[In terms of shipping, I’ve never given it a tremendous amount of thought. I’ve always been enthralled by the relationships between the characters, of course, but I always tend to think more along the lines of, “Ooh, wouldn’t it be interesting if these two were to interact with one another?” or “What would it be like to see these two become friends?” Still, I’m not entirely opposed to imagining romantic encounters between characters, and with that being said, it’s very difficult to pick a favorite ship of mine. I flip-flop between a lot of them, especially those involving my own character.
I suppose I’d have to say my favorite, though, is probably Franziska/Adrian. Of all the things I ship, this one is the most plausible to me, and honestly, it’s quite underrated. There’s qualities in both of them that each could learn from – Adrian’s willingness to love and trust could help Franziska along just as easily as she could teach Adrian to become more independent and confident in herself. Both of them have dealt with feelings of rejection/inadequacy all their lives, and I think they could find happiness with one another.]
6. Favorite victim?
[Elise Deauxnim/Misty Fey. Her story is such a heartbreaking, poignant one, and I always find myself wishing that we had been able to learn just a bit more about her character before she met her demise. As I’ve mentioned countless times before, the Fey clan storyline was one of my favorite things about the original series; it was so eerily beautiful. I love that Misty cared so deeply for her daughters that she watched over them all this time, even if she could never bring herself to meet them face to face again.]
7. Favorite murderer?
[At the risk of sounding heavily biased towards Trials and Tribulations as a whole, hahah, I would have to say Dahlia Hawthorne. I love that her “gimmick” was realistically done – after all, how many people in reality have we heard of that have done truly despicable things, but gotten off the hook because they’re too beautiful to look the part? – and that the game doesn’t try to build her up to be something she’s not. She is a vile, truly frightening character in her own right, but rather than painting her out to be an unstoppable big bad, the game unflinchingly embraces her as a failure, a little girl trying too hard to pretend that she’s tougher than she actually is.
I still get chills every time I play through the section of Bridge to the Turnabout where she’s exorcised out of Maya Fey’s body.]
8. Favorite assistant?
[Ema Skye! She’s hilarious, intelligent, energetic, and optimistic even in the face of adversity. I began Rise from the Ashes thinking that she would be just some sort of Maya expy, but I was more than proven wrong. Her cross-examination in Rise from the Ashes is still one of my favorite points in the first game. What’s not to love about this girl?]
9. Favorite witness?
[Morgan Fey. Of course, she gets extra points for turning out to be the one who planned the murder of Dr. Grey and framing Maya, but nevertheless, her character is so fascinating to me. She’s one of the only major villains in the series whose backstory is never really expanded upon outside of her motives for the particular crime she’s involved in; we know all about her bizarre ambition to overthrow the Main family and make her daughter the Master of Kurain, but we’re given very little information about Morgan herself. She’s calculating, cool under pressure, an adept liar, and overall just generally creepy. All qualities leading to an excellent villain, of course, but I do wish they’d let us see more of her personality or story.]
