Sometimes you make new band shirts and your wife is the hottest mother trucking model ever and so it’s like even if they don’t sell I win… http://Emchy.band camp.com/merch
Femme & Friends Fa[t]shion February Twenty-Third.
Trousers: Mossimo, bargain-binned [Target] [Previously of every post ever pretty much.]. Shirt: Foley's, thrifted [Goodwill]. Vest: unknown brand, thrifted [Saver's]. Ascot: unknown brand, gifted. Shoes: US GI, bargain-binned [Banana Bay Military Surplus] [Previously worn on The Second, The Fourth, The Fifth, The Twelfth, and The Nineteenth.]
I got real fancy for the day we went to a restaurant with our students.
As a note, those are happy dancing soybeans. [I know, right, how cute.] They were mistaken most commonly for lima beans through the day, though one person they were tiny green hearts or some other discolored human viscera. Knowing me, I'm surprised that more people didn't make the same mistake.
Femme & Friends Fa[t]shion February Twenty-First. Impromptu No-Pants Day.
Underpants: American Apparel, bargain-binned [American Apparel Outlet].
I know that American Apparel is in a lot of ways representative of a lot of things that I don't like. In my defense, I wasn't quite so aware of the completeness of my eventual distaste for them when I got these.
Some days, it is just not even worth putting on clothes. Some of those days, I let myself do just that. I like parading around in these on those types of days because they leave me no option but to let my little chub hang out over the top, and they make my legs look fantastic. Also because I like thinking of these as a part of my houseboying uniform [were I to actually get houseboying gigs, rather than interest with no follow-through], and it's nice to be my own damn houseboy for a day.
Femme & Friends Fa[t]shion February Seventeenth!
Trousers: Mossimo, bargain-binned [Target] [Previously of a whole bunch of earlier posts.]. Shirt: Arrow Dover, thrifted [Goodwill]. Shoes: DresSport by Rockport [ha! I checked!], thrifted [Goodwill] [Previously of some other posts.]. Belt: All-Star, thrifted [Goodwill]. Tie: Cremieux, bargain-binned [Macy's Outlet?].
This is my you-may-feel-totally-out-of-it-but-you-don't-get-to-look-it ensemble.
I really like bowties. Especially this lavender stripey one.
Femme & Friends Fa[t]shion February Tenth.
My lighting situation tends to wash out some lighter colors, so for your edification I've made clarifications below.
Trousers: Mossimo, thrifted [Goodwill]. Undershirt: Old Navy, dark purple. Shirt: American Eagle, ever so slightly pink with white pinstripes. Jumper: Cherokee, bargain-binned [Target]. Shoes: Nike, thrifted [Saver's] [Previously seen on The Third.].
In exciting news for my butch dandy self, I managed to finish hemming the trousers to a delightful suit that I found and tweeted about. Kings N Things has a show tomorrow: if I can get my bracer buttons put on before I have to leave for the Sleaze tomorrow, I might just wear it for the bits where I spectate. I'll try to Tumbl at least the layout, and if good pictures of me in the suit emerge, those will get Tumbld upon emergence.
