Types of Butches, as shown through the Muppets
femme who dolls herself up just so her butch can make a mess out of her
"butch who does this" "butch who does that" ok but are femmes fucking with butches who have the hobbies of 50yr old men? do you support butches who's life's desire is to own a woodworking shop?
wild how gender is supposed to be this innate, internal truth but the second a transwoman gets called “dude” the whole house of cards collapses. I’m a butch, very masc, and solid in my womanhood, despite the world telling me I shouldn’t be. Getting called “he” or “they” doesn’t send me spiraling or force me to augment my breasts to “prove myself.” I contribute it to that person having a narrow mind and move on with my day. It doesn’t make me want to kill myself, or threaten to kill others. I don’t need strangers to prop me up to know who I am. somehow that makes me the radical one.

where to find masc or butch or stud also into butches. no long distance. no dating apps. no glue. no borax.
i’m like if jayce talis was a butch lesbian. send post.
people asking the question "can i be butch if xyz" is always very interesting to me. and i get it, because i am newly out and i did a lot of doubting before i unapologetically started embracing this identity. it's very tempting to ask strangers online for validation. i know because i used to do that. but the truth is, if you view yourself as butch, you're butch.
i think one of the important steps towards figuring out if you're butch or not is understanding what it means to be butch. for example, thinking that butch = masc lesbian waters down things a lot, and if that's what your definition of butch is, then it's going to be difficult for you to fully grasp the expansiveness that is butch identity. and you'll experience the same thing if you only view one kind of butch presentation (i.e. white, thin, perfectly androgynous).
i think this also applies to the conversation around whether bi people can be butch (or femme, for that matter). if a bi person fully understands what it means to be butch or femme, and chooses to identify that way, who am i to question that?
