bullshit spamtenna au preg stuff <3
Summary of hc for addison reproduction and anatomy. Addisons are part parthenogenetic in that their own eggs can be fertilized in the incubation process, it follows three stages, the pre-gravid phase where the body prepares for a fertilized egg, gravid phase where the egg sits in the inside of the body, and laying phase if not fertilized. Addisons built with ovipositors dispose of their dud eggs through said ovipositors, others lay the eggs before they lose their fertile capabilities, where they are then incubated in the host’s body, and laid if not fertilized.
More under da cut!
Spamton suffers from ovum overproduction, meaning he produces a clutch of eggs monthly, where other addisons lay on a tri-monthly basis, Spamton lays every month.
In this au, Spamton and Tenna stay business partners and nothing goes wrong, they marry and eventually, talk of children begins to pop up more and more. Spamton decides its about high time they do something about it.
Suffering from fertility issues, Spamton gets a round of ivf set up. He has to gain weight to be healthy, so he and Tenna implement some extra foodplay into their bedroom activities. Once he gets the green light, the only thing left is to find some DNA to fertilize Spamton’s single retrieved egg. Spamton and Tenna bake a cake for Blue, frosting spelling out the question “Will you help us have a baby?” in bright pink. Blue happily agrees, and after some paperwork, everything is set up.
The night before the implantation, Spamton goes on a massive bender, indulging in everything he won’t be able to indulge in while pregnant in the event that the egg takes. Taking lines of coke, dressing to the nines in tight clothing, and chain smoking his last few quality cigars. After happily thanking Blue, Spamton passes out and wakes back up just in time for his appointment.
After the short anxious week long wait for the results, it turns out that the first round was successful, it took! Tenna is thrilled but Spamton is secretly anxious about being able to keep the pregnancy.
The weeks go by, and the symptoms begin showing up. Spamton can’t keep down food, he’s tired, moody, and his body feels swollen and achy all over. Tenna tends to him the best he can, but anxiety sparks a few arguments until they talk and or kiss it out.
Spamton decides to announce his pregnancy at three months, when he decides to put an end to the rumors of his “beer belly” peeking out of his growing suit, and all the other symptoms which the crew have been perceiving as a result of his drinking (exhaustion and nausea seen as a hangover, etc). Spamton announces it with Tenna standing behind him. Tenna pops his fangs out and gives a toothy smile that quietly and calmly says “If you even make a judgemental expression, they will never find your body”. When Spamton turns around, Tenna goes back to normal, and happily hugs his husband’s growing belly,
Addison pregnancies last approx six months, each and every month shows on Spamton’s petite frame. In the later months he suffers from back pain and near constant aches. Tenna is accepting and caring as always, especially when Spamton’s dysphoria gets in the way of him being able to enjoy even the most simple tasks. Things get even worse when Spamton i revealed to have complications, nothing life threatening, but he is ordered to stay on strict bed rest for the remaining month of his pregnancy.
In the final month, the membrane/shell around the baby softens and begins to break down, once its completely broken down, the baby drops and labor is able to progress. Spamton hated bed rest more than anything, and it was worsened by the increased internal movement from the rupturing shell.
Spamton looks in the mirror, his hair has been losing its black color because he hasn’t been able to dye it, a cruel reminder of who he used to be. His belly eclipses his torso, the lower half a mess of angry, jagged stretch marks, giving off a rhythmic bounce with every movement, shifting and writhing with movement as the baby tries to get comfortable. Spamton hates the way he looks, a mixture of reminders of his dwindling masculinity and a lack of identity. Was he really ready to be a dad?
Tenna peeks in, chastising Spam for being up. Tenna has to help him with everything now, getting dressed, bathing, getting to appointments, and making meals. Speaking of, Tenna is holding freshly made soup for him. Spamton gets emotional and tearfully asks Tenna if he loves him. Tenna reassures Spamton, but he has trouble believing it. Tenna walks Spamton through all the things he loves about him. Spamton prefers logic over praise, and Tenna is able to provide this. Tenna has cared for Spamton because Spamton has and will always do the same for him. “When we married, they spoke about sickness and being healthy.” “Did they? I don’t remember, I was too busy staring at your face…”
Spamton is comfortably reassured, and Tenna begins worshipping his body, hitting that sweet spot with dialogue affirming Spamton’s masculinity. The two share a long kiss, and Spamton shoots a cheeky grin to Tenna, telling him that since his due date is tomorrow, he is technically safe to engage in….”certain activities..”. Tenna gets the memo and eats Spamton out. The two finish the night with a bare naked snuggle, Spamton loving himself significantly more than he did earlier.
They make a go-bag several days before his due date. Spamton’s nesting instincts kick in and Tenna has to stop him from painting the nursery with his bare hands. Spamton is whiny and hungry in the days leading up to his delivery, and he makes it to four days overdue, much to his chagrin. Tenna takes his paternity leave from the show a week before delivery, and they spend those four days cuddling, talking, and making last minute preps for the baby.
Tenna helps Spamton out of bed on day four, makes him a nice breakfast, and rubs Spamton’s sore back. Spamton admits that he’s been cramping since he woke up, but waited to make breakfast before telling Tenna. Like bro literally just wanted to have one last chill breakfast before his life changed forever. They playfully bicker about whether or not its the real thing until Spamton feels shell fragments and slick blue tinted fluid gush into his pajama pants, at which point Tenna grabs the bag, straps Spammy into the cungadero, and speeds off to the health centre.
Spamton gets the epidural as soon as physically possible. And he’s much more collected afterwards. After a little trouble with dilation, he switches positions a few times before he’s ready to push. The delivery goes well, with an exhausted Spamton happily cuddling the light blue sqauling newborn addison to his chest. He tells Tenna that he loves him but he’s “never [fucking] doing that again.”
He gets a hysterectomy as soon as he’s cleared to do so.
Spamton suffers from mild postpartum difficulties, mostly worrying that his tics will cause him to accidentally hurt the baby. Tenna does most of the chores while Spamton cares for the baby, and the more time they spend together, the more Spamton feels comfortable around his offspring. After a while, he’s back to his old self, but now with a mini-him on his hip.
