Okay can I say something. When did happy aus start to be seen as childish and pathetic. God forbid I actually want the characters I love to experience joy in life
I have seen multiple things about how a creator can create a well written tragedy only to have the "fandom of six year olds" take it and make fix it fics and aus where nothing went wrong and somehow that's seen as...bad? I can understand a tragedy serves the narrative and still not personally like it. Or even if I do,I can want to imagine a reality where that never happened! Aus where nothing went wrong hurt nobody and it's really irritating that they're being seen as lesser than the actual story. It pisses me off
Nobody is forcing you to write a happy ending but you can't hate the people that do. Ugh.
