I’ll never understand finding disappointment and failure funny. Like specifically the butt-monkey trope. Leave them alone and stop having them expect a good thing only to fail or be disappointed.
Like it’s honestly just dumb writing at this point. Sure this character is treated as simply something for the characters and audience to laugh at but we might see the characters treat them nicely. Not like struggling at things people around you do isn’t relatable to some people that would like to simply have their failing at stuff be treated as simply a part of their life.
It’s even worse when they make them incel-like. Freddie from ICarly and Joey from Liv and Maddie; poor Joey, he wasn’t that bad though but still was close to being that bad. You can’t have me like these characters nerdiness and them failing at things, I find failure relatable, I’m not laughing at them and why I don’t like failure as a a joke especially when the character is either close to or expected success, and then have them be stalk a girl.
Like Daffy Duck deserved to win the bowling tournament, the episode was about his happiness at such a small success; no hate to Bugs he’s backed out as soon as he realized Daffy emotions.
Timmy Turner deserved at least acknowledgment for his struggles caused by others and the success he does get. That boy wished he didn’t exists and found out people were happier and was ok with disappearing from existence, he literally has his own room in Wanda and Cosmo’s fish castle because they love him. That boy deserves so much and should be acknowledged for his naturalness with magic and how he would rather keep Vicky as a babysitter so he can keep his fairies than not have an evil babysitter. He becomes president when he wishes for kids to rule the world in that one summer special.
