Indulge in the heavenly aroma and delicate flavor of these melt-in-your-mouth cinnamon butter cookies. The perfect balance of buttery richness and warm cinnamon makes these cookies an irresistible treat for any occasion.
Ingredients: 1 cup butter, softened. 1 cup granulated sugar. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 2 cups all-purpose flour. 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon. 1/4 teaspoon salt. Additional granulated sugar for rolling.
Instructions: Start by heating the oven to 350F 175C. When the butter is soft, add 1 cup of granulated sugar and cream them together in a large bowl until they are light and fluffy. Add the vanilla extract and mix well. Mix the all-purpose flour, ground cinnamon, and salt together in a different bowl using a whisk. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ones, mixing only until everything is well combined. Take small pieces of dough and roll them into balls that are 1 inch across. To make sure each ball is covered evenly, roll it in more granulated sugar. Place the dough balls, coating side up, about 2 inches apart on baking sheets that have not been greased. Make a crisscross pattern on the back of each dough ball with the back of a fork. After the oven is hot, bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are just beginning to turn golden. After taking the cookies out of the oven, let them cool for a few minutes on the baking sheets before moving them to a wire rack to cool all the way.
