The Oath of Shadows binds Paladins to the ideal of justice at any cost. They put aside the notion that one must take the high road or else they are no better than those they seek to bring to justice.
Paladins are often depicted as holy knights and warriors of virtue who uphold the law as shining examples of morality; the Oath of Shadows Paladin doesn’t care for the optics of their crusade or about recognition for their heroics.
Paladins who take this oath do so with the understanding that their tenants aren’t meant for attaining glory or renown but to make the world safer, even at the cost of their own reputation.
Thwart Evil Where it Thrives. Protect Without Praise. Justice By Any Means.
As an Oath of Shadows Paladin you can coalesce a wall of pure shadows to block off enemies, protect your allies, and confound any hostile creatures who attempt to breach it. Use the darkness to conceal yourself, overcome the usual disadvantage of noisy heavy armor, and bring swift retribution to those who harm the innocent from the places unseen.
Most see winter as a difficult time of harsh cold, survival, and darkness, druids of this circle see it otherwise. They see the beauty and light that winter has to offer. This is my 3rd entry into the druid circles based around seasons, the next and final one to come being the Circle of Spring. I hope you enjoy!
