butterfly effect
to the loveliest, @oculvus
staggering before the camera, bloodied and bruised, was none other than marceline who was just about ready to collapse. for a single minute, there was only white noise substituting the silence of the lounge. the remaining members of EXAS shuffled inside with uncomfortable gazes. overall it was comically awkward, or silently awkward. .. or just straight up painful.
“don’t. don’t even try to speak, i got this,” said the tallest member, interjecting marceline as she was ready to speak. the remaining member, with her gentle embrace, leads the latter to a couch that sat in the background. the tallest focuses on the camera, slightly ajar, but it was enough to make out his sharp features, dimly lit eyes boring into the lenses. “this is mercer, from EXAS, and on this weeks edition of ‘this-definitely-has-nothing-to-do-with-our-upcoming-mv’, we’ve decided to study the science behind.. newton’s first law: an object in motion stays in motion.” his head cocks in the slightest to the sound of childish whining, probably from marceline. and so, slowly, as if he had no idea what else to say, his jaw falls sluggishly, the words initially stretched over his tongue before completing a full sentence. “i.. i’unno what the fuck just happened.”
6 hours before dawn. recorded time: 12:03 AM
“ta-da!” “i don’t think this is a good idea.” “too late, she’s already in the cart.”
immediately transitioning from black to full color, the camera blurs for a split second before rendering the display in front of it. it was a display of houses lined behind marceline, who sat ecstatically in a discarded shopping cart. juniper was equally enthusiastic, holding onto the shopping cart, anticipating mercer’s signal to let go. a voice calls from behind the perspective of the camera, not matching the girl’s level of electricity.
directing the camera’s view point towards him, he began to speak: “so this is kinda like bungee jumping, except it’s down a hill by juniper’s place. now you might think that this sort of thing is dangerous. and yes. yes that’s exactly right, but luckily i have the- oh what the fuck-” yes. the safety rope. the one attached to the cart. the one mercer was suppose to hang onto just in case things took a turn for the worse. but what he did not anticipate was juniper pushing the cart, letting it roll down the hill and picking up speed without mercy. without knowing until it was too late, the safety rope slipped right out of his hands.
“… you weren’t suppose to let go until i said so.” “you took too long.” … “well screw you, too.”
the camera quickly darts down the hill, shaking wildly with each step. the shrieks of the former girl only intensify as she suddenly sees a lone figure- unknowingly standing in her path. “oh god, watch out! get out of the way!”
act fast …
a. you see the person b. you are the person c. take matters into your own hands
The small every day day details are the things that count, by making the present meaningful, giving all your attention to what is happening now, listening being empathetic. The micro is a version of the macro, so first to look within yourself and what are your problems, then go to be well with your family and friends and so on. I believe that there is a butterfly effect in this world and by being good everyday, smiling, generous etc etc it brings a chain effect.... Lets say you smile in the morning and say something nice that could change someones day and be nice to someone else in return or in the contrary what if you shout and are aggressive well that has the opposite effect
