I love my Stranger Things shirt, but it's such low quality (H&M).
It's rayon, and the placket is a disaster. It's impossible to iron flat. I've had plenty of rayon dresses that didn't have this problem.
I'm thinking of resewing the placket in such a way that it will have more structure. But I'm not sure what that would be. Put interfacing on both sides of the fabric? Put a line of stitches down the other side of the placket? Like this:
Which is easy to do and looks almost the same, but this is a very different fabric so I don't know how well it would work. Maybe if I used fusible webbing?
I imagine these different types of plackets have names. Pickashirt calls it a French placket, but I'm pretty sure a French placket doesn't actually have that second line of stitches down the other side of the buttons.
