Gah! sorry for not asking anonymously before; I got hyped for asking you! I would like to find a kikipop recast; I did see one on Ali but I saw the customer picture review(it was just one though; that is available) and I didn't really liked what I saw. Idk it looked pretty fake😔
You need to know that there's TWO kikis types of recast. The ones made on resin (that look wonderful), and, the ones made on cheap plastic.
You surely looked up at the cheapest one and surely you got the plastic reproduction. That's a reproduction of an already plastic version of Kiki, originally made in cooperation with Azone.

Then you have the basic same on high quality resin, under the name of "kinoko juice", I'll leave some pictures:
(feel free to ask sellers, specially Oueneifs or ChinaBJD by using the pictures. They even gave a fullset option)
Go to AliExpress Oueneifs store and look for the resin one. That's top quality, but surely enough, it's going to be twice as much than the plastic reproduction. But it's worth it.
Why did this happen?
Originally, Kiki was into the "Kinoko juice" resin releases (it's still is), but it's original releases were extremely expensive and limited. So obviously, ChinaBJD/Oueneifs got it recasted.
The artist reaction to that was basically make a cheaper option for "poor people". Still original, but plastic. And to do so, it collaborated with Azone.
Therefore, you got two types of the same doll reproduced, the plastic one, and the resin one (because, c'mon, it's not like AliExpress sellers weren't going to copy the plastic one too, right?). Specially because then the Azone plastic version got priced up too, so, neither of the original releases were actually fulfilling the "poor people market".
But Ali sellers knew they had poor people backs...
