I feel like it would make sense for people to be able to buy pot online, but have to pick it up in person. Think about it. You'd realize you only have maybe half a bowl left. You log into the website, place your order, which puts that amount on "hold" for 24 hours, starting 60 minutes from when you placed your order. Doing this would keep people from waiting outside for someone to not pick up an order so they can "reserve" and pick up within minutes. You get yourself together and go pick it up. Maybe you get some fast food on the way there idk. You get there and you have to show your ID/medical card/whatever and pay for it (there could be an online option to pay as well, but your money is not refunded if you neglect to pick it up). Why do this at all, you may ask? For states legalizing pot it takes a long time from "okay this measure passed" to being able to buy at a dispensary (Oregon will have taken almost three years if the date doesn't change again). The biggest reason for the delay is lack of inventory and they don't want massive backups/crowds). Doing this would: (1) remove the possibility of a crowd, therefore (2) remove the possibility of people not being able to get the medical pot they need, and (3) be an easy way to adjust prices within minutes. Supply running low for the day? Just increase the price on the webpage and every reservation after that change is posted will pay the new price.
