Adding onto my "kitakami kids are mixed" headcanon/theory. I think it would make sense for their non-Kitakamian parent to be from Unova, adding onto the idea of past vs. future focus with them both. With Carmine being protective of her hometown and Kieran being obsessive over Blueberry and battling (not a direct one-to-one but close).
But also there is something slightly entertaining about their parent potentially being from Floccessy Town.
Like, I know Unova as a whole is based off New York, but Floccessy Town/Ranch are very American South-coded. So it would just be funny to me, if they were like. "country" in both of their native countries.
Idk this one is sillier but imagining Carmine and Kieran as cowboys is entertaining so I'm saying it.

kinda hate when fanfics will do a love triangle and then like, not tell you which one is end game in the tags or anything.
Like I don't like love triangles much anyways, but if I'm starved enough for a ship then I'll read it.
Except then I read the fic and have to realize a quarter of the way into it "oh the author actually hates this ship, they're just using it as flavor for the fic and for the ship they actually do like."
and that sucks.
sometimes I'll see a fic and go "oh that premise is cool!" and then I'll read it and it'll be medically inaccurate and I want to scream
uhh vent-ish thing under the cut (about gender and stuff)
Kinda sucks being a gnc girl and having multiple trans people tell you that you're an egg.
I play video games!! I dress masc!! I don't wear make-up!! Apparently those are the things that qualify Being A Boy (this is called sexism)
And then I'll tell people I'm cishet and then there's just this like. Thing. Where they view me as an enigma.
Especially when I talk about "feminine" hobbies like cross stitch and sewing. Because then all of a sudden I'm "not actually gnc!!" and I am. Because being gnc is not caring. And I don't care, I like stabbing fabric to make it pretty. And I like to beat things up in video games.
Anyway being called an egg all the time is annoying and I wish people would stop assuming things about other people just from the way they dress. Why can't I be gnc in peace.
