Hello lads, I'm new to this fandom decided my first contribution is going to be what I always do, a gta au. Now unfortunately I haven't been able to properly write yet, but I got a story outline. So here me out and feel free to say what yall think. Ey I’m on pc and can now put a read more, so here’s the first three paragraphs and under that is the rest if you wanna check the idea.

CC Tinsley is a Private Detective who lives in Liberty City. He's works with one Detective Holly Horsley in solving crime. And is best friends with one Ryan Bergara, a small time assassin who never targets innocents, so Tinsley let him get away with it. And the two ended up becoming friends. It's not the last time Tinsley let people get away with crime. The city is corrupt, theres no fighting it, but he goes on the logic at least leave innocents out of it. The other time it happened is with a thief duo, Francesca Norris and Banjo McClintock, as they only steal from other criminals or the rich.

The last investigation Tinsley goes on before he disappears is hunting for a serial killer by the name of Dr Fear. A downright monster in the city's eyes and that's saying something in this kind of world. But it goes bad and Tinsley gets nabbed. And Dr Fear broadcasts for all to see, him murdering Tinsley.

Ryan, unable to stick around with all the good memories in this town, leaves to become a better criminal and hunt down Fear, changing his name to Ricky Goldsworth and the persona he displays. While Holly mourns the loss of her partner in solving crime.

But what they dont know is Tinsley wasnt dead when the video ended. Banjo and Francesca saw the broadcast and tried to find Tinsley before he dies and saves him. Though unfortunately they were too late to catch Dr Fear.

In the end Tinsley changes his name to Shane and he helps them in their cons and acting as sort of vigilantes returning items other criminals stole to their original owners

Some time later Ricky finds Dr Fear in Los Santos. He murks him and writes that it was for Tinsley on the wall. Holly goes down to confirm the death and see who killed him before she could. She ends up meeting Ricky again and learning of his new name.

At the same time the trio of good crims are also in Los Santos at this time and recognize the other 2 while wondering, thankfully the other 2 don't recognize the 3 of them. They trio try to do their job whilst avoiding the other 2, though unfortunately they all keep ending up in the same areas. Cue a comedy of errors as they try to avoid them until Ricky and Shane literally bump into each other.

Though thankfully Ricky doesn't recognize Shane. But Ricky does decide to keep talking to him to try and blend in himself. Kinda screwing Shane over a bit. But thankfully his team got it on lockdown and kept going without Shane. And Shane pretends to not notice all the crime stuff Ricky is doing while with him. He has faith in his old best friend to not be do anything too bad.

Make matters worse and Holly joins them, having joined Ricky in his new crime job. Shane continues to go unrecognized, but the pain in his heart kicks up at seeing his friends again. The event ends and the group splits up and Shane meets back up with his other 2. And after that point whenever the other 2 see the trio they always go over to talk to them. And usually the trio can play it off well.

But one day meets some very bad timing when Ricky catches Shane without the makeup to cover all the scars from when Dr Fear tried to murk him. Worse still is Shane is in the middle of talking to one of his old associates from when he was Tinsley and this one accidentally slips up calls him Tinseltown (an old nickname) once while Ricky is eavesdropping. Ricky leaves angry that Shane had been lying to him and he was alive this entire time.

He doesn't tell Holly though, knowing it would devastate her to learn her partner was still alive. Instead while Shane is by himself Ricky corners him and gets into a shouting match, questioning Shane. To which Shane reveals what happened. He thought he was going to die as well. But as we all know, that's not what actually happened. Banjo and Francesca found him and managed to save Shane. They gave him a new identity so that way Fear wouldn't know that he hadn't died and try to kill him again. In the end with no one else to turn to Shane stuck with the other 2 now an active participant in their jobs.

Ricky then asks, after Fear died why keep lying. To which Shane responded that he met some of Fear's associates after his death and it seems it wasn't just Fear himself who had a vendetta against him. So to avoid being murked by one of Fear's associates Shane kept up the charade. Only dropping it to get info from one of his old associates about a big job for the trio. He wanted to tell the other 2, but it was dangerous and eventually it just got too late to really say anything. Though Ricky is still frustrated he gets it. But he makes Shane promise to tell Holly the truth next time he sees her. He agrees and the two leave to go get food and catch up properly.

Holly slaps him when he reveals the truth, but then pulls him into a hug.

Eventually the 2 join the trio in their crimes. Making the 5 of them the most feared unofficial crew in the world

(Extra note is as criminals Ryan and Shane constantly go between their two names. Though they end up with the constant crime aliases of Legs and Night Night. Whenever they commit a crime they begin to sign it with that. Though whilst doing it they'll say they'll say either of the og 4 names depending on the vibe they wanna give off this time.)
