do we know how long suegiku has known each other? because i love the idea of them knowing each other as teenagers, new recruits in the hunting dogs. jouno's a little more loose and tecchou's a little more expressive and they get on each other's nerves but, when the captain and teruko are attached at the hip there is only each other.

do you think they took solace in the company only they could provide each other? do you think tecchou learned how to control his heart rate and hold his breath for longer for jouno's sake? do you think they were more open when they were younger and the older they got the more they settled into who they are now but there's no real sense of loss because they still know each other? they're still partners? jouno claims to hate him but still works with him and barely ever follows up on his threats even when tecchou laughs in his face?

i wonder if jouno would've ever guessed that tecchou would do what he did after he went missing for, like, a single hour

i wonder why tecchou assumed the worst after not hearing from his very capable and confident teammate for an hour. how often do you talk? how often do you check in with each other?? if jouno learned how tecchou prioritised him over their mission would he be surprised?

i think about this sometimes
