Hey I don’t know if you have answered this before but I a little bit confused with BVB ticketing. To be able to buy a ticket other than the games that go on general sale do I only have to buy the membership or is there something else I should do?

hi there!yes i’ve answered about this here about bvb ticketing. 

the best method is to buy online when the tickets go on general sale, however not all matches are open to general sale, therefore it becomes harder if you need to see these top matches.

basically being a bvb member is not enough unfortunately. it just guarantees you to be able to call their hotline to get a ticket, which is not an easy task, because: a) it’s an automated voicemail system in german, so if you don’t speak nor understand german, forget it, you won’t be able to know what to press, etc b) it’s hard to get throughc) even if/when you can get through, it can also be sold out by then.

however if you speak german, you can try calling the hotline ^^

so the next best thing, if you don’t speak nor understand german, would be to buy adrenaline trip package from bvb’s travel agency. it’s good because the price already includes a hotel, a ticket to the match, and some goodies.

depending on where you live, there’s another method to getting a ticket, which is to join a bvb fanclub. bvb give some slots to bvb fanclubs for their members to see the match, therefore you can request through those fanclubs. if you want to join one, message me on tumblr or email me (flavenne at gmail). i can tell you who to contact, should you need to join a fanclub. hope that helps!

Omggg thank you so much for replying! You're so kind <3 I'm planning to go to Dortmund soon in February and watch the BVB vs Augsburg game. Do you know if they train one day before the game? And if they do, how can I get a chance to meet them? :) Thank youuu again, u're a gem!

ohhhh that’ll be really exciting! XDyes, they will train one day before the match, but as usual the final training is not open to public, so all you can do is to wait outside brackel for when they finish training, if you want to take pics with the players. usually they train after the press conference, so if the press con starts at noon or 1 pm, then the training starts around 3 pm or so… and will finish 2 hours later more or less, so be sure to come to brackel around 5 pm latest so you can catch them when they drive their cars out of the training ground.

usually the substitutes also train the next morning after the match (usually starts around 10 am).

you can also come to the player’s assigned parking lot after the match, but nowadays the players are driven (instead of walking) to the parking lot, and will go directly to their cars. they rarely go to the fans to take pics, etc anymore, but you might get lucky, who knows.last may 2017, manni was very nice, he went to the parking lot gate to sign and take pics with fans (that was my last pic with manni before he moved 😭).

some players will cross the pitch after the match (from osttribüne to westtribüne) and if you wait at westtribüne, you might see some of them :Dmy friends were lucky to meet milli and roman last month at westtribüne after the match (before they go to the parking lot).

Hi, just wanted to ask you, how did you manage to get tickets to the match? I want to go to see a match next season but have no clue as to how to go about getting a ticket.

Hello!In general, if the tickets are sold to public, you can find them here on BVB online ticket shop.

But sometimes the tickets are only sold to BVB fanclub members only through the hotline. I’m a fanclub member myself, but I don’t understand German, so I can’t call the hotline since it’s an automated system 😅 In that case, I might seek for help from my friends who are BVB fanclub members.

However, do check the online ticket shop often, because sometimes even when they don’t open the ticket sale to general public, they still have some leftovers or some tickets from the secondary market in that online shop.

If you come from outside Germany, the easiest way is to buy a package called adrenalin trip package from best-travel.de, BVB’s travel agency. The package includes hotel stay and ticket for the match you would like to see. I often buy this package myself, since it’s very convenient, and you’re guaranteed a ticket.

They open the booking for the first half of next season (Aug - Dec 2017) around June 2017, and for the second half of next season (Jan - May 2018) around November 2017. Make sure to sign up for their newsletter on the left side of this page, so you can get informed.

Hey I have a trip to Dortmund next year when the season is still on. Do you think I'd be able to meet any players at the training ground if I just show up? Do you have any tips maybe? 😊😊

Yes, you can meet the players when you go to the training ground, but most likely it’s a closed training (so you can’t actually see them training, unless they have a public training, which is really rare). So you can wait for them outside, and when they leave with their cars, they might stop for the fans, but they also might just drive past the eagerly waiting fans (usually only a few of them stop. On a good day, more would stop, but on a bad day, only 3-4 of them will stop).

My tips would be to just go to Brackel when they finish training, so you don’t have to stand for too long outside. Their morning training usually starts around 10 or 11 am, but their afternoon training can be at 1p, 2p, or 3p... or even later, so it’s hard to guess. You’ll need to check @RNBVB, they usually report when they start training if the training session is open for press.
