even tho it's really obvious now that it's nostalgia bait, i do like the episode where Charizard joins the team. it's really obvious how much fun Ash has showing everyone the stuff at the Kanto fest & that he has fun telling them all about Charizard

similarly, i noticed, because of episodes like this one & the one where he helps a caterpie evolve so it can migrate, Iris and Cilan actually know a lil more about his past journeys than most traveling companions do
