Things Whose Names Didn’t Change Even Slightly #7: The Naked Truth
Téa Leoni’s sitcom The Naked Truth was cancelled after one season (1995-96) and resumed on a different network in 1997. It had the same name and in theory the same set up but was in fact so different that it might as well have been a new show.
According to Wikipedia the third season was again drastically different.
Things Whose Names Didn’t Change Even Slightly #6: King County
There was once a guy called William Rufus DeVane King who was Vice President of the US for a few weeks. King County, now in Washington State, was named after him when formed in 1852.
In 1986 they decided to change the name of the county and it became official in 2005 when the name was changed to... King County. Only now it's named after Martin Luther King, Jr.
