忍び Things have been hard, a lot harder than Naruto pictured them being… Somehow, he hoped once his parent-less childhood had passed, the gods would cut him some slack. And for a while, he beliveed they really had too. He’s blessed with the girl of his dreams (his wife, Hinata), a soon-to-be son, and a home. Its small, but comforting as a home should be and its more than enough for the two. All seems to be going so wonderfully for them, and yet the woman he loved, had every intention of growing old with and raising his family together with… had passed away during the childbirth. It had been four years since then, a day that was meant to be joyous, celebrated in warmth and smiles and life had ended in a way he never saw coming. Not in a million years. There’s a tired sigh as Naruto leaves the warmth of his car (surprising considering how old it was), looking as worn as he felt he’s sure as he makes his way to his apartment. Of course there’s a friend there to greet him, the one he paid to babysit for him now, and honestly wasn’t sure how he would fair without her. “Thank you, Tenten. How was he today?"
he asks, getting a smile and response as the two head to the young one’s room. He’s occupied with something on the TV Naruto soon notes, the toys laying at his feet as well. That doesn’t stop him; however. "Boruto~ Daddy’s home,”
the blonde greets, smiling to his little one as he enters his bedroom and crouches at his side. “
Did you miss me?"
he asks, grinning as their eyes meet.
