His breathing was ragged, he could feel himself slowly start to drift. One shot and he’d be down for good, luckily there were no enemies in the area. He looked at the wolf, and weakly reached out to him. He wanted that little bit of comfort. Slow, was always the worst, even if he knew it wasn’t the end, it was easier, when he was too week to do much more than reach his arm out, there was no way he could hold his slate. “Twilight,” he said weakly, his voice wavering, just as his strength was ending. “‘m fine,” he mumbled. He wasn’t, but he would be. He just wished he knew how to tell the wolf that.
He took a few more ragged breaths, and snapped to attention at the sound of the lazer firing up. Where was it. Adrenaline rushed through his veins. A wave of energy coursed through him, and using the master sword he clumsily got up. He readied his shield, it wouldn’t be strong enough, but he knew in the back of his mind it’d be okay. However, the front of his mind told him to protect the wolf he had come to love.
The beam was firing up, and he finally found the source, and faced it head on, the energy he once felt quickly waning. The blast went through the shield, and straight onto his chest, going through the Hylian Tunic he was wearing. He fell back, the shield lay broken in pieces still on his arm, the master sword left his hands, Mipha’s ability already working, but it was taking a little too long, by the time it was finished, he was up, but not equipped and was hit twice more, and he did not get up, his chest still rising and falling. He had no fairy to be his saving grace. One more hit and that would be it.
