Alright. MAAAAYBE it wasn’t one of the greatest ideas, she’s had. Showing up uninvited to her friend’s house, that is. While Spinel vividly recalled doing so, well, just about half a dozen times, at this point, beforehand, she wasn’t dull enough to not understand the concept of common decency.
Not to mention PRIVACY.
Although she absolutely, DEFINITELY, noticed the look of surprise on Kyanite’s face (not necessarily the bad kind, but not necessarily the good kind), the pink Gem didn’t hesitate for a single solitary second. Smile bright and shoes repeatedly squeaking as she practically bounced in place, Spinel further presented the box to the fusion.
--- “Haha~! Well, what’s the point in me SPOILING IT, for you?? Just open it!! Open it, open it, open it-!! I’m POSITIVE you’re gonna LOVE IT!!!”
Currency was still a... fairly new concept, for the Era 1 Gem. She was old-fashioned, alright? Cut her some slack! In spite of the many, MANY attempts from Steven (and many others, really), Spinel had simply swiped the gift when the Gem behind the counter wasn’t looking. She doubted anybody really MINDED, after all. A couple of laughs in exchange for a couple of cakes! That seemed like a fair trade to her! And it wasn’t exactly like she’d gotten chewed out for bringing all of those streamers inside the store...
... Ah, well! She’s getting ahead of herself! Quickly snapping back to reality, Spinel’s grin widened as she prepared herself for Ky’s reaction. She knew her friend liked sweets, and so what better gift could she give her other than a couple of those pretty tiny assorted cakes she’d kept seeing in the window of the bakery???
None!! None, whatsoever~!
... At least... she sure hoped so. But she wasn’t about to admit that.
