bottoms up
I've been so opposed to shorts this summer for an odd reason. I probably own twelve pairs of chino's that I've compiled to my collection for years, still wearing my hot pink ones from freshman year. The restriction of this thick fabric, however, is that it isn't as comfortable as I would hope for a hot day. As of this moment my mindset is made up with only three options of bottoms to wear (and honestly there is no in-between)
-sundress (I love how a simple shift, or tank dress with little eyelets or lace can be thrown on in the morning and work into the night. Paired with converse, flip flops or even wedges- these little dresses are major)
-skirt (I adore how skirts can vary. The flexibility of how a skirt can be worn is what really draws me in. Floaty fabrics are a must for the summer, no pencils please. Be skater, pleated, maxi-- they work in any capacity, any day.)
-athletic shorts (Stop. They are not sloppy, or only to be worn to workout. I often wear my workout clothes all day before I even go to the gym. Designers have been incorporating these athletic vibes throughout daily wear, so it's become more normcore to wear them all day. And did I add that they are uber comfy? Yeah.)
