It’s just a theory but I think Byakuya reboot promotion clip revealed to us that first Medusa was also dropped from the moon and it wasn't explosion already on Earth. Whyman was already on the moon when first petrification happened. Maybe also he doesn't know how to avoid it when it's coming at you. It’s possible that Senku is first person who found way to avoid petrification when it’s coming at him.

I checked and Shamil and others didn’t see moment of Medusa dropping on Earth. They noticed already happening explosion. That’s why we were wondering if it was explosion on Earth or something dropped on Earth. Looks like first petrification weapon also dropped from the moon.

In  Oct 28, 2019 we will finally get spin-off manga about Ishigami Byakuya :D This is exhilarating and I will read it 10 billion procent :D Only thing we know for now is that it will be focused on Byakuya. I wonder if story will take place in stone world with Byakuya and other astronauts or life of Byakuya before he went to space or a bit of both. I would really want to see more of Byakuya and Senku interactions because I love dynamic between them. I don’t know if it’s even possible to create story about Byakuya without having at least flashbacks with baby Senku or teenage Senku. We all know Senku is the biggest part in Byakuya’s life. He can’t even stop talking about his amazing son. Maybe we will even get bonus hints about Senku’s real parents or how Byakuya was taking care of Senku right after he adopted him. It would be cool to see Byakuya being proud of Senku but maybe also support baby Senku if he had bad times like even nightmares. I need to see Byakuya and Senku hug! Yeah it will be also cool to see astronauts during trainings or in stone world. Not gonna lie but we already have story about survival with Senku so I would be more interested in father and son dynamic from the past BUT this is still Dr. Stone content and I’m such a big fan that I will take everything and just still have hope to see Senku and Byakuya together even in the past.

Ok I watched episode 16 and 17 and cried so bad. Now my heart officially broke ;’O Because we know he will never see even stone statue version of his son... I cried again :’( I love Byakuya so much <3 He wants to save everyone but he is still a dad very worried about his son and just wants to see him and save him. I just can’t... I will be never over this. Best Dad!
