At first he wasn't really too much into the idea. But as he throught more about it, it certainly sounded nice.

For you to be his valentine. As much as he ignored this day in the past perhaps you'd be the one to change his mind here.

After all once he he's sure of something he won't let the opportunity to go to waste. In this case that'd be you being his date.

And what day would be better than Valentine's day to get just that? He had seen your interest in him, at least that's what he thought it is, so he didn't feel very nervous about asking you out.

Since as confident as he was there was that hint of hesitation invading his mind. Of course, he overcame it.

"Y/N, perfect timing. I need to discuss something with you. You don't have anything planned for tomorrow right?" he looked so sure of it. But he was right so you gave him your answer.

"Great, then you'll go on a date with me?" it was simple and direct, it almost even sounded like he was ordering you for a moment.

Still, there was only one answer to that, right? When you accepted his offer he told you when he'll pick you up. He didn't know why, but he decided to refer to you as his Valentine in the exchange before you went your ways.

And that's when he realized just how much his heartbeat quickened.

togami x nonbinary reader with bpd

As someone who personally doesn't have BPD and I don't know anyone who has it, everything written here considering the experiences is result of my research. If it's not accurate I'd really appreciate it if someone could educate me on the matter.

It wasn't rare for you to feel that fear of abandonment. Because as loving as he can be he still is often distant.

Whenever he can, he stops some of your impulsive and harmful decisions. And he tends to sometimes scold you for even considering something like that.

The disapproving look on his face when you mess up though probably hurts the most. You just... Feel so bad. But in reality all he does is worry for you in situations like these.

To be honest, since that behavior isn't unusual for him it did take him some extra time to realize just how much you were hurt, and how often you feel like your relationship with him can end any day.

You always feel like he's hard to read, but the same actually goes for you. He never knows what to expect of you. From your emotional swings to just constantly changing something.

But he knows that no matter what he won't give up on you. You may sometimes annoy him even, but in the end he cares about you too much.

Besides, he's never wrong. So why would he waste his time if he knew that your relationship won't last? He's with you because he knows you were meant to be. It's simple logic.

If there is one thing that makes him smile it's you. And I'm not talking about some smug smirk or anything of the sorts. I mean a soft, genuine smile.

At first he was rather annoyed by your display of all those emotions. You were always just all over the place... But one day it was like hitting a switch and he was suddenly charmed by it to some extent.

But when he knows what he wants he fights for it and he's as blunt about it as he can get. Same went for his confession.

Unlike you he's not flustered that easily so he's often surprised by your reactions to him doing the bare minimum.

He sometimes takes it as a challenge. In a way where if something so little makes you feel this way imagine how you'd feel when he puts in some effort.

Of course he never does something halfway to begin with. It's just that something he considers a small gesture to you is everything.

It's not the hardest to make him happy either, he just doesn't show it half as much as you do. So sometimes you aren't sure what he feels.

When you need reassurance though, you'll get it. You usually don't even have to ask for it since he can tell when you need it.
