Hands brushed together as Drifter managed to finish his work in setting up a perfect dinner date for a special someone’s birthday. Outside of the City, in a secluded area that Drifter thought to be decently beautiful enough for a romantic night out ( aside from a few Eliksni that wandered here ; which he had to quickly clean up before setting up ). With how busy and distracted Lane was with other things, the rogue took the chance to lure their dogs out here, all dressed up like little butlers -- though Lizi didn’t get the memo and wandered not too far just to find an Eliksni arm still out in the open, taking it into his mouth thinking it’s a stick to play with.

Reaching over to gently swat the arm out of the Shiba’s mouth, he took the arm and tossed it out of view, gently holding the dog so he wouldn’t chase it. After a moment, Drifter stood up and called up Lane. “ Aye, still busy ? I’m gon’ need yer full attention for a moment. ” Ordering the two dogs to stay, he left for a moment to pick up Lane to escort him over.

@bydcsign​ :  In comes Lane, carrying Lizi in his arms. Lane happens to be dressed as close to a Shiba as he can; a custom outfit with a fluffed neck, fake ears and tail - and Lizi is sporting a Lizi-sized outfit that is awfully familiar. " I'm going as Lizi and Lizi's going as me ! " He seems far too proud of this.  /  it halloween. hape halloween.

The Drifter isn’t dressed for the day ( not knowing what to wear as a costume, he preferred not to waste time contemplating when there’s Gambit matches to host ). 

He looked up from looking at his schedule to see his husband and their dog together, all dressed up for this special holiday. He rose an arm up, giving a thumbs up as he gave a lopsided smile. “ Y’ both look great. Y’ go have fun out there, yeah ? ” And Drifter knows for certain he’ll be seeing Guardians in costume in his matches. And it’ll be very likely entertaining to watch.

@bydcsign​​ : " Something's happening soon. " Lane's tone betrays insecurity. It's hard to come to terms, after all this time, things will change. For the worse ? He's not sure. " We're... We're not going to... Nothing's going to happen to us, right ? " The fear of separation is written across his face and sewn into his tone - he doesn't want this change to mean losing everything again.  /  unprompted .

“ I ain’t gon’ leave ya alone if that’s yer worry. Not again. ” He knows there’s going to be Guardians coming in and out of Europa since word came out about a discovery there. To think his preparation for the day would be a big notice, unlike the last times where they were separated ; Drifter isn’t going where Lane can’t find him. The rogue doesn’t doubt anything bad would happen to himself, he knows how to manage just fine.

Just enough to be spotted by Lane from miles away ( so he hopes ). “ Nothin’ t’ worry ‘bout, hotshot. We’re goin’ t’ Europa ‘n’ back. Not like back then where if y’ leave a spot, it’s hard t’ come back to. ”

@bydcsign​ : " Oh. You're cute ! " Lane kneels down before what appears to him as a white wolf, and begins to gently pet her. " You're soft ! " She is a dog, and he loves her already. " Good girl ! "  /  amaterasu & lane  /  unprompted.

The wolf that sits before Lane is actually the sun goddess -- and she’s more than aware that not a lot of people see her true form, and she’s kind of fine with that. Though of course, being a dog ; she absolutely adores pets. She began to wag her tail as the human man pet her, and she can sense that Lane loves dogs.

She respects him.

Fechin smiled lightly, wearing the jewelry gifted to him. “ I’m happy you do, my dear. It suits you very well. ”

@bydcsign​ : A gift is held out for Drifter, Lane smiling. Inside is a warm sweater, with the image of a Shiba on it. A necklace is below it, a heart pendant, with the interior being two images ; one of Lane and Drifter, the other is Romeo and Lizi. " Holiday gift incoming ! "  /  drifter & lane  /  unprompted.

There’s a light smile from Drifter as he looked at the gifts. “ Aww, for me ? Y’ shouldn’t have ! ” The rogue let out a light laugh as he took the gift, examining it closely. It’s cute, and he loves it. With ease, he put the necklace on, the heart pendant colliding with the jade snakes, making a noise before they rested together just fine.

He leaned in, giving a kiss to Lane. “ Thanks, hotshot. ”
