"Remind me why we're watching Love Island," I sigh, ten minutes in to Craig's favorite show. "Uh, because it's good? Don't be a bitch, this is possibly the best show ever created." Rolling my eyes, I pick up my phone, reading through the texts Bebe sent me about how bats are misunderstood creatures.
Craig removes his arm from around my shoulder, leaning over to pulls something out of his bedside table. "Hold out your hands," he tells me, holding something behind his back. "If it's something gross, I'm leaving you."
Holding out a hand to him, he drops a small, black box in it. "What is this?" I asks, holding it closer to my face. "Open it, dumbass."
Pulling the lid open, a dainty, silver ring sits inside. "It's a promise ring. It has my initials on it so I can, like, marry you one day or something," He explains, a small smile on his face.
"Wow, this is so romantic, thank you for giving it to me while we're watching Love Island," I say sarcastically, slipping the ring onto my finger. "Thank you, though. This is really sweet, Craig."
"You like it, right?" He asks, taking it off my ring finger and moving it to my middle finger. "I love it. Seriously. Thank you," I nod, pulling him down for a kiss. "Okay, then why aren't you crying?" "Well, it's not like you just proposed." He rolls his eyes, pushing me away by my forehead. "Cry," he jokes, doing a horrible fake cry.
"You should be an actor," I tell him, immediately getting flipped off. "You should be a good girlfriend and cry."
"No."
"Whatever. I guess I still love you."
"That's nice."
"Fuck you."
