“ c’mon teach, you just need to say the magic words and this nice concoction will find themselves in the food of our opponents ” a mischievous grin spreads across the archer’s lips. “ victory will be ours in no time, ” he is mostly kidding of course, or is he? // @byresu
with her late-night readings , she’s been a little tried attending classes. of course , she was rather good at hiding it , keeping her head down , hidden by an open book and remaining silent for most of the lesson but she knew that wouldn’t last. the professor was starting to notice , judging by the glances she was given. so once the class had ended , she wasn’t all that surprised when she was called to stay back. ❛ i ... haven’t done anything wrong, have i? ❜ // @byresu
a deft landing to the ground, sliding back ‘till his heels touch the base of a pillar.
❝not bad. not bad at all.❞ ragged breathing, eyes wide & trained on the she-beast with wooden blade in hand. it’s a rush—conflagration ignited amidst the prospect of conquering a new mountain / another obstacle for him to behead. a smirk ( the faintest snarl ) surfaces, hand patting away the dull pain to his side.
her precision blows inspire wonder: how many other capable swordsmen live out there, undiscovered & unconquered—if he will ever live long enough to stand above them all. a lifetime is not nearly enough to properly master this age-old craft, yet all he can do is try: try until his lungs breathe no more, parry ‘til legs give out, mastering the unconquerable & unbeatable ‘til only he remains, hungry as ever ( the starved beast manifests itself in all manner of arrangements; how it chooses to sate its appetite the e’er-constant journey man must embark ). he sheathes the blade, reviewing their most recent spar in an attempt to figure out what went wrong.
❝you fight like it’s second nature. even among the knights of Faerghus, people like you don’t show up often.❞

No questions about where he had been. Something Claude appreciates about his professor. Saves him the energy of dodging any questions, allowing the lord to instead focus on the matter at hand.
The monthly assignment came as a bit of a surprise for the students. Attack a heavily fortified area that thieves had taken residence in. Once a mighty fortress, the area had fallen during a battle in the distant past. Despite this, it is sure to still be a challenge for every member of the Golden Deer house.
“Yeah, we can handle any archers. And pick off any that happens to escape you and Raphael.” Marks had been placed on the map, ones that had been used in previous plannings to detail different students, showing an intended plan of attack.
“Have you figured out what to do with the mages? From the info I heard, the thieves have quite a few mercenaries of their own... some who specialize in defense. You’re quite strong, so is Raphael, but I doubt either of you can put a dent in an armored knight’s shell. Why not have Lorenz and Leonie escort our mages?”
dimileth baby meta
give me meta topics // always accepting
I’ve spoken in my Savior King meta that Dimitri ends up marrying Byleth and they adopt a baby girl together. The girl would come to be named Saoirse and would possess a near-uncanny likeliness to her fathers between her wild blond hair, sharp green eyes, and possessing the Crest of Blaiddyd. Saoirse is a highly active ( read: mischievous ) child who has a habit of climbing her fathers—Dimitri in particular—and enjoying the swing of combat whenever Dimitri visits Garreg Mach to see his family. The unfortunate thing about being the child of the Archbishop and King of Fódlan is that it’s uncommon for all three of them to be together for an extended period of time, exclusively due to Byleth and Dimitri’s respective occupations consuming much of their lives as they work to rebuild Fódlan in the aftermath of the 5-year war. Sometimes Saoirse would live at the monastery where she would learn the teachings and learn with the students; other times she would live in Fhirdiad where she would learn combat and manners of kingship while befriending all the knights present.
She considers many of the Blue Lions as her uncles and aunts, with being particularly attached to Sylvain but being utterly terrified of Felix to where she can’t even look at him without crying. This isn’t to say she dislikes the latter, but she’s just outright terrified of him which leads to many giving Felix the stinkeye thinking he did something to upset her ( she called Felix “Uncle” once and got so scared that she apologized to him and now exclusively calls him Lord Fraldarius ).
Dimitri is fiercely protective of his daughter and while he does become the stereotypical overprotective father, he does show a lot of his more ridiculous and sillier sides with her such as being overdramatic when he gets hit with her wooden axe during their sparring sessions, telling horrible dad jokes he learned from Alois, and even taking her along when visiting Gautier territory in pursuit of Gautier Cheese Gratin. To say that Saoirse the light of his life would honestly be an understatement because to him she’s a miracle that he doesn’t deserve. It’s always been a distant dream of his to have a family, which is why he goes so far to make sure she lives a happy life even if it isn’t necessarily a traditional one with having to travel from place to place so often.
“you know, professor . . . ” it’s quiet around them - peaceful, even. moments like this are hard to come by between the vivacity of youth and warfare. so, if only for a handful of minutes, she's willing to talk about something other than tactics and battle and bloodshed.
“you always look like you have something on your mind. something weighing you down.” there’s a pause in which she hesitates, gaze flitting sideways as though trying to find the right words suspended in the air. “it isn’t my place to pry, maybe it’s even a little presumptuous of me to say this . . . but i just thought you should know that you can rely on me outside of battle, too.” her eyes are bright and resolute and older than her years when they meet byleth’s once more. “i want to help you as much as you’ve helped me.”

❛ well, this is embarrassing. ❜ he says upon realizing the mistake he made knowing that it is bound to leave a great impression and probably not a positive kind. then again could he really be blamed for mistaking beresu as a fellow student? ❛ let’s just pretend i never said that and start again. ❜ @byresu / college starter call.
