@liuisi tagged me in this fun challenge to make myself in a picrew ten years ago and now. i got a bit carried away; i did it in two picrews, and was having so much fun that i wanted to try it with c!elle, my dsmp sona, too. :>

so firstly, here's fifteen-year-old me vs Me Now. i think past me would be thrilled to know we figured out our fashion and feel a lot more comfortable in our skin (and that we're less depressed sldkjdsg <3). :]

and then c!elle!! my dear lil character :DD i picked the very start of her time in new l'manberg as her Past Self and then her Current Self as her post-canon-ending: after the nuke, having moved around with bluebell & thalia, finally having settled somewhere new with them & making a new life there. she's got more scars but more hope too. :]

18 for the character asks?

18. Does the character have other characters connected to them? Do you have a family tree and "offscreen" connections made up for them or do they exist in a vacuum purely for the purpose of the story?

I'll answer this for c!Elle, my oc-insert for the dream smp, bc she's been on my mind lately. The short answer is yes she does have lots of characters connected to her!

Her family tree consisted of her parents (who passed away when she was 7ish), her older brother Hue, and her little brother Rhessi, along with the rest of her village in the Nether who felt like an extended family to her all her life (at least until The Horrors).

She's also very interconnected with my friends' oc-inserts, Bluebell, Thalia, & Zayne! Her plot/life is entwined with theirs in different ways throughout the seasons, & her relationships with them are pretty crucial to her development as a character.

And then lastly there's the canon characters who she's connected to; primarily Tubbo, Ranboo, Ghostbur, & Aimsey. Tubbo's the person who first found her in the woods and invited her to New L'Manberg, and she gets closer to him throughout s2 & s3 (though their friendship gets a bit rockier in s4). Ranboo is one of her close friends in NLM, since he's an Enderman like her and also similar personality-wise. For Ghostbur, she connects with him a lot during her time in NLM and learns a lot of the server's history through him (when she's not learning it from Thalia); her feelings toward Wilbur after his revival are pretty complicated, and she falls into the bad mindset of viewing Ghostbur as a different person than s3-4 Wilbur, at least initially. And then for Aimsey, Elle gets a job at the Daisy Hollow Cafe in season 4 after she moves back to the Prime Path, and really enjoys getting to know Aimsey then.

🙃 — A weird little habit they have

oh my gosh this just reminded me of the silly headcanon my friend and i came up with for c!elle that she's incredibly caffeine intolerant XDD the first time she tries a cup of coffee she gets SO incredibly anxious and starts micro-glitching* all over the room. once it finally wears off she and thalia look at each other and go "...well. not doing THAT again" sdKsjdgljklj

*"glitching" is an enderman-specific disorder she has that results in her erratically teleporting short distances against her will, heavily affected by her anxiety levels
