Jeb saw a McDonald's for the first time today
open to the verse
“I’m fine, I’m fine. Why does everyone keep fussin’?” Jeb grumbled as he reached for the crutch beside the bed. He’d been told he would probably need a cane for the rest of his days. How the magician that was in the library had damaged his leg to the point where the healers couldn’t fix it all the way.

“I would like you to try to get into my head.” Jeb told Vex flatly as he continued to grade papers. He knew that the second year student wouldn’t be able to break through the numerous walls that were formed around Jeb’s mind, but this was more to teach a lesson and prove a point than it was to prove any of Vex’s fortitude. It was to show how to make those walls so that Vex wouldn’t automatically be wandering around other people’s heads.

“I apologize, Ms. de Martel, but my French is very rusty. Is there something you wanted to speak with me about?” Jeb had made it a sort of practice to see through Illusions. When you were primarily a psychic discipline with as much practice as him, it came easily. Even when it was at his own detriment. Seeing through an English speaking illusion straight to the reality of her French tongue.

Ashley froze as the passing taxi doused him in a fresh coat of water instead of stopping like he wanted it to. The newspaper he’d been holding over his head was so far passed soaked that it was practically disintegrating in his hand. “....thanks,” he sighed, trying to shake his hands dry and completely failing. Turning instead to the bus stop behind him, he opted to take shelter from the summer storm rather than trying to brave the curb for another minute. Sitting on the bench he glanced to another young man beside him who was also trying to stay dry. “Hey man. You know where this bus is going?”
