Kara pulls Sae closer in bed. "Are you sure I can't convince you not to get up today?"

The woman all too happily sinks into her lover with a tired huff, rubbing at her sleepy eyes as she mumbles "Believe me Kara, I'd want nothing more, but we're wrapping a case up today and I really, really need to be at the office in decent condition. I'll make it up to you tonight?"

Trick or Treat? 🦇

A treat for you! Surprisingly one of the most important references I have for locality space is Wikipedia's list of cattle breeds. Bovans (humans with cow features basically) are not one to one copies of actual cattle breeds, but I do take inspiration from their horns and coat patterns. Some that I've used so far are:

Ayrshire: Oran and Neb (they are actually brothers by blood, and yes they do have spots)

Aubrac: Edith

Blonde d'Aquitaine: Kara (I think? who knows where I wrote this down. but she does look like a ghost)

“Oh, if it isn’t New York’s other tech billionaire heiress.” Harry smirked as she signalled the barman for another drink. Despite the...(not so) friendly rivalry between their fathers, Harry and Kara had brushed shoulders more than once. Harry thanked the barman as he slid the scotch over and handed it to Kara. “Cheers.”

Wanda came to in a hospital bed, everything hurt. Opening her eyes to a grey wall, she groaned and tried to collect herself, wondering why she was in hospital. The last thing she remembered was.....nothing. Looking down at her hands, hooked up to wires and tubes, she felt panic settling in. It was then that she heard footsteps approaching, a woman in the doorway. “Where am I?” She asked hoarsely.

What was that?

Luke paused from sipping his coffee at eleven thirty in the morning, taking in a moment to soak in the new sound gracing his ears. Silence. No alarms or phones ringing or assistants asking for his signature. Nothing but the soft sound of the waves lapping in the background. It was the rarest of occasions. A day without responsibilities or obligations - he couldn’t remember the last time he had a day like this.

“Yeah, shame it’s because of everything else happening” Alex sighed while she was trying to calm Dylan. Her daughter had been more fussy than usual since the blackout began, Alex couldn’t even put her down without her starting to cry. She was hoping Dylan would settle down at least a little before Alex had to go to the DEO and wherever else she could help out but so far that didn’t seem likely. “I was planning on taking a few more weeks off work before I went back, I guess the universe had other plans” maybe she could take those few weeks off after this was over, but she also wasn’t sure she’d be able to once she first went back to work.
