needs: a last name!! don’t make me have to choose one a;lskdfj i’m so indecisive. some friends and more friends. a job of some sorts if you can deal with brilliant but lazy people. maybe a roommate or six?? a Platonic male best friend (someone give me a marshall to her robin pls). an ex who she still sleeps with because they lowkey love each other, but high key hate each other. i dunno, whatever drama i can insert her into bc why not!!

Evan was sitting back in his home office with his papers all strewn across the desk. “Hey, Lindy,” he called, hoping she was in hearing distance. He had found something that was morbid about the town, but it was something he wanted to share with her. It wasn’t everyday you went through some papers and found a mass murder from 17 years ago in the town that you’d recently moved into.

When he comes in to bring her something to eat, he falls short when he thinks that he sees the silhouette of a woman sat at her bedside, brushing Lindy’s hair from her temple, fingers stroking down her cheek. Lindy’s lips curl into a tired smile.

Moth can see her lips moving, but he can’t hear what Lindy’s saying to her, so he stays to watch.

The woman smiles down at her, still stroking her cheek in effort to comfort her, like a mother’s touch. She looks up then, smiling softly at Moth and then shimmering for a moment before disappearing.

Carrying in the tray with food for Lindy, he takes the chair that the spectre abandoned, setting the tray on Lindy’s bedside.

“Did you see her?” Lindy asked, breathless. Her eyes closed weakly before she forced them back open to look up at him adoringly. “Di-did you see her?”

He nods, helping her sit up a bit just enough that she can get some water without choking on it. She ends up after, leaning forward and pressing her face into his shoulder, mindless of the bruising on her cheek.

“Her name is Esme,” she mumbles through her exhaustion. “She’s very lovely.”

Moth can’t find his voice, just runs his fingers through her messy hair and presses a kiss to her temple.

“She saved me.” She whispers. “When they were keeping me. She kept me safe.”

“Did she?” he asks, moving up to the edge of the bed, their bed.

She nods weakly, humming in content when he resituates her in his lap.

“Are we going to leave soon?” She mumbles into his shoulder, fingers curling in his shirt. “Go somewhere quiet and far away?”

“As soon as you’re well, remember?” he answers. “I promised you.”

The young woman nods absently, breathing slow.

“Do you think you can eat something today?”

“Dunno.”

I think it's funny that ever since we plotted Lindy and Tam getting married (and punching out enough babies to have their own Quidditch team, holy smokes), whenever you read a post where Tomas mentions Celinda, or Celinda mentions Tomas, it is painfully obvious that they love each other a lot.
