“I just want to say...” Jake immediately began his apology as he entered Lucas’s dorm, going to sit down on the free bed. “I’m sorry for what I said about- about Jules not wanting to be around you. It wasn’t nice of me to say. I don’t know why I said that. I think I was still annoyed with how you acted on prom night. Which is like... I can totally see why you wouldn’t want to hang out with Devyn and I. I just- I took it offensively.” @lucasmaverick
“So...” Jules collapsed onto the couch beside Lucas, pulling up something on her phone. “I was looking into some other stuff we could do while we were here, you know so we’re not just... hanging around here the whole time.” She explained, glancing over at him. “And I found out that they actually have some Mayan ruins here. I mean, I’m sure it’s not as cool as like.... some other ones in the country but I think it would still be cool to go and see. I already brought it up to Caleb when we were talking the other night, surprisingly he was down... but that’s not that point. The point is... do you want to come too?” She offered him a smile. “I mean I’m going to invite Avery too, of course... I’d say the others as well but I don’t think this is something they’d really be into.” @lucasmaverick

“Hey man. Are you hungry?” He walked into Lucas’s room, setting a bag and drink tray from Taco Bell on the side table. “It’s been a while since we’ve hung out so I figured I’d come and surprise you. I got some tacos and those uh.. cinnamon twist things. And I got you a drink too.” He nodded towards the table. “Of course if you’re not hungry, I’ll just eat it.” @lucasmaverick
It had been a week since the group returned from Mexico and Lucas was still avoiding her. She had tried texting him again but he had begun to ignore her texts, so when she did finally see him on Campus she decided to follow him. She was sure she looked crazy or... like a stalker to the other students but she didn’t care. She was tired of him ignoring her and needed to talk to him. “Lucas!” She called, finally catching up to him and grabbing his arm. “Hey, can we talk? Please?” @lucasmaverick

“Oh god-- Maybe I’m regretting moving to London with you. Your face isn’t all that important. Do I really have to see your face all the time? I’m not the one that would smile everyday--” He started to tease his roommate a little, scratching his new beard that he’s been growing for the past couple of months since the two moved in together in London. It was lovely to have Lucas around. He was lucky to have a friend like that, but the connection was becoming something more-- Elijah wasn’t sure what it was. He’s just happy.
