[continued from here] // @samaea-do
Samaea-Do turned to study her surroundings first when the man gave a voice to the shock he felt. As a necromancer, it was common practice for her to incorporate her own blood into magic. She was fortunate enough to do the same with the blood of others. In either case, the practice was second nature and hardly any thoughts were spent on the blood spilled. She didn’t realize until a few moments later that there was a smooth trail of blood staining the side of her left arm. Her lips twitched upwards as the reason for his discomfort became apparent. One would think that even humans would have become accustomed to such sights given the nature of this school. Her right finger moved to touch the red stain, she examined it thoughtfully. “It is blood”, the witch confirmed. “Whether it is mine… I’m not quite sure. It could be” Likely it was a mixture of both. Turning away, Samaea opened her bag and a hand disappeared inside, rummaging through the various items – without much success. “You wouldn’t happen to have a tissue or some water?”
It wasn’t that Daniel was squeamish, because he really wasn’t. He had seen his fair share of blood, his own or otherwise. But, that was always in a situation that made sense, something to cause blood to flow in a way that was generally still shocking, but not surprising. Seeing a student presumably with blood running down their arm, that was surprising, and so of course he said something. It was only after he said it that he realized that there was, in fact, a chance that it could be someone else’s blood. That seemed to only be confirmed by the amused look on the woman’s face. He almost regretted speaking up at all, but there was a small part of him that was glad he said something. Would’ve nagged on his conscious all day if he hadn’t said something to someone who was possibly injured. “Yeah, yeah, I have water,” he said, pulling a plastic water bottle from his bag before handing it to her wearily, “You really should clean up after...whatever it is that came from.”
