So this was a slightly unusual situation. “Just send me the documents and I’ll take a look. And send me all of them this time. It’s early, hours earlier than he planned on getting up on his rare day off from the office, but the incessant vibrating on his phone on the night-stand pulled him from his slumber, effectively dragging him into his office. Which was the last place he wanted to be after a long and late night.

Alistair’s fingers type away at his computer but his train of thought is quickly derailed when he hears his office door creak open. Lifting his eyes, he spots them by the door and offers and apologetic smile. “Sorry. Did I disturb your beauty sleep?”

Darcy had taken the information Monty gave her. She only wished she’d had it sooner, but given the recent catastrophe, she understood why he hadn’t called despite her instance. Though, truth be told, he probably wouldn’t have, even if Ashbourne hadn’t gone up in flames only a few weeks ago. She noticed the back of the blonde man’s head first. At least the young hunter had one piece of somewhat relative information. Everything else had been a far stretch in terms of identifying the man who believed he witnessed a murder. That amateur hunter had no business being out alone so recklessly and she couldn’t even stop a human from going to the cops? The whole ordeal had given Darcy a headache and the smell of a decaying body still clung to her bathroom walls. Honestly, the woman wasn’t too surprised she hadn’t heard from the girl in a while. “Hey blondie!” There was a cheerfulness in her voice, despite the urgency and scabbed cut on her cheek. She didn’t quite know how to approach the situation and she needed to gauge how he might react. “I heard you were the man to talk to about these weird things happening in town. Some sort of reporter?”

Silas was feeling pretty embarrassed because of the spell he was exposed to yesterday. He could only speak lyrics from Taylor Swift’s Style to people. For this reason, he had tried to stay away from everyone until spell’s effect was completely gone but he couldn’t escape from one person, his friend Alistair. Silas had to embarrassingly speak lyrics from that song to Alex, Alistair and some of the others that day. 

 He hasn’t seen Alistair since that day. At noon, he was sitting in the library while reading about demons, he was pretty bored so he got up and ambled to the training room because he knew it was the only place where he could find Alistair. He sighed before entering the training room, moving slowly. The boy looked around and smiled after seeing his friend. He bounced towards Alistair as his mouth curved up into a smile. ‘’Just, please don’t talk about that Taylor Swift nonsense, it ruined my perfection.’’

Novia’s bones ached as she stretched one final time in her wolf form. Her skin tightened as it shrank against her frame. Bones cracking as they returned to their humanoid figure. This moon had been taxing instead of its usual bliss, herding newer wolves into remaining close to the pack. Novia had grown use to owning the wild, not avoiding hunters and witches within its depths. She stretched again, now bare skinned as she peaked over the horizon. The beauty of the sun rise reflected in her eyes. Her senses were still heightened from a night of survival when she heard the rustle of grass. “Voyeurism is still a crime.” She wasn’t shy, but the sight of a camera caused her to cover her body with her hands. “And I believe that is sexual harassment.”

Alistair Lockwood has to be reminded about ten minutes before showing up because honestly he’d completely forgotten it had been on the books. It wasn’t out of malice or disinterest so much as Alistair had never been particularly good at these kind of social events. Despite what People magazine seemed to claim, he wasn’t the kind of guy who could work any room he walked into and he often felt rather socially awkward when people insisted on gawking or treating him special just because of his business. He could be charming when he wanted to be, but he wasn’t exactly excited at the prospect at another event of people crowding around him all night. 

The event was actually about the ‘Lockwood Scholarship’ program they had started a few years ago. Giving kids who normally couldn’t afford college the chance to get a full-ride through college when they might else have missed the chance. They covered all kinda of fields, English, Art, Science, Sports and they’d recently gotten over a million different kids in the States into colleges since the program started. Hence the banquet to celebrate the achievement, inviting both college representatives, the media and even some students currently in the city who had used the scholarship. It was a big deal and Alistair knew it was supposed to be a chance for some good press, charm people and get some more buzz for the scholarship. A good cause in all but it didn’t stop it feeling a little unnatural even now. 

So there was Alistair, smiling pleasantly and trying to seem completely interested in what this woman was saying. He believed she was rather important, a representative from Columbia but so far she had been talking for twenty minutes and Alistair had yet to be rescued. Forced to smile, nod and seem polite before glancing around to see if anyone would be willing to save him. Certainly not his assistant who had enough trouble getting him to be social at these things, so he might just be out of luck.

the tall girl resided in the small kitchen area of alistair’s apartment, squatted down and poking through the fridge as she proceeded to search for the canister of whipped cream she knew was hiding somewhere among other items. “ah-ha,” the words echo low under her breath as she digs her slender hand in to pull the canister out. “i got it!” curling her hand around the fridge door, hunter allows it to become her support as she pulls herself back up to stand straight, before using her hip to bump the plastic door shut. spinning on her heel, the lanky brunette places the can down onto the counter top. taking a quick moment, her gaze scans over the items sprawled out before her. “i think we have everything here to make our usual?” turning her attention back to her petite, redheaded friend, hunter enquirers her opinion on the matter. “i mean, we’ve got cream, sprinkles, chocolate sauce, the actual coco.. what are we missing?” as she names each ingredient to the two girls special hot chocolate recipe, a slender finger reaches out to tap against each one. though, having finished the action of listing off each one, hunter withdraws her hand to press it against her chin thoughtfully. she had to admit, she was a little surprised when both bailey and devon turned up at alistair’s apartment with goodies and movies, but she wasn’t exactly one to complain about a movie night or spending time with two more of her favorite people. though, she wasn’t sure if alistair exactly felt the same way about the situation.
