Delilah’s eyes focused on his as he spoke. Silas and her were bonded but there was so much more. She cared deeply for him as she had known him since he was a small boy, she watched him grow into the strong man he is now. And her feelings for him were strong. In all her years he was the one person she cared for most. After a moment to relax she settled into his arms, “Okay. I’m sorry… You shouldn’t have to see me like this.”
‘‘It’s not even a problem for me.’‘ He murmured. He finally relaxed when she calmed down. His heart beats was getting faster in that distance. He took a deep breath and her beautiful smell filled his lungs. She was his only weakness. ‘‘You know, I’m the one who is a mess.’‘ He confessed. It was the only truth for him. He was nothing but a destruction. ‘‘Sometimes, I just want a different life. A life that I can be happy.’‘

She felt the blood well up. Vampires did not shed clear fluid but blood from their eyes. In her personal opinion it was kind of disgusting but in moments like these she couldn’t help it. “I hate it. I hate that I am cursed to live forever, never growing older, not nothing.” A few red tears leave she tried wiping them away, only to leave a red stain on her cheeks. “I try so hard…. But I’m just tired of it all, Silas. I’m so tired.”
He was completely shocked when saw her bloody tears. He felt guilty and his shoulders got heavy with desperation. ‘’Sssh,’’ he murmured and then wiped her tears gently. ‘’Please, please don’t talk like that. I know it’s too hard but you are the strongest person I’ve ever known. Strong, lively, cheerful... I admire you.’’ He commented with a slight, vivid smile on his face. ‘’And I’m so lucky.’’ He stopped for a moment and suddenly took her in his arms. ‘’If you’re tired, I can carry you.’’

Unable to remove all the blood she sighed. It was going to stain her until she fully washed it away. Delilah turned back to him with a frown, “I’m alright… I just hate you seeing me like this. I know what I am but I wish I wasn’t. I never asked for this and I never wanted it.” She had always tried to stay positive but there was a great part of her that she couldn’t control and she hated it. “I know you’re not.” She whispered before walking over to him. “I was once human, I wish I still was.”
‘‘Are you kidding with me?’‘ He retorted. He sighed and held her hands hesitantly. Damn emotions, he thought. He couldn’t help himself to think about her, he couldn’t bury his feelings, he couldn’t stay away from her. It was impossible for Silas. ‘‘No one wants to be a vampire or a downworlder but it wasn’t in your hands.’‘ He sighed and looked at his hands. ‘‘You’re good person, Delilah. And that thing is your nature, don’t judge yourself for that.’‘ He forced a smile. He was the one who is a total mess. ‘‘You’re too good for me, I... whatever, let’s clean you up.’‘ He gasped.
