even before the rush of valentines day gabe had needed help, he had the help wanted sign up for a while though no one was really applying which was fine, he had his cousins help him on days that seemed overloaded with orders, but they couldn’t always help. since his lola was getting older it was mainly him that was manning the shop and he wouldn’t lie that he was tired most days. when he saw the bulletin he had immediately written down archie’s number to call when he opened up shop. 

“hi, this is gabe. i mean, i know you know who i am but i was just calling about the bulletin board, i saw you were looking for employment and we could really use an extra set of hands here at the flower shop if you’re interested.”

Elsie was glad for the day off. Her favorite thing to do was to try new places. She had only been back in Elkhorn for a few months. Her stint out in Los Angeles had not gone that great, but the change of scenery had been welcome for a bit. She was slowly working her way through the shops and restaurants again in the community.

The smile went away when she saw Jason’s number on his chest, but to make sure she didn’t worry him, she raised her sight to look at his eyes and spoke. “If there was someonehe would’ve liked to wear his number, that’s you, Archie. I’m pretty sure he would be really pissed off if some freshman used his shirt.”
