Prometo manter minha parte do quarto em ordem pra você não me odiar muito ou me jogar para os bastardos da sala.

Chip was staring into the ice slowly melting at the bottom of his now empty soda. He was torn from his thoughts when he saw some movement in his periphery. “I-Is it time to go yet?” He’d arrived late, but just in time to hear the president’s announcement. It instantly made the night feel much longer.

Dolly was intimidated by Ash. Not just in the way she was intimidated by most victors, but she was certain if the world was different, and she passed Ash on the street, she’d find herself feeling small and staring. The ability to be so quiet and still be so important was astounding. Dolly was raised thinking chatter made for dominance. “I don’t quite know why,” she began, tentative as she pushed herself to be confident. Canary needed allies, and two people who knew how to use an axe would be useful. “But I have a feeling Canary will do well in her presentation. So long as they don’t try to wax her eyebrows.”

Surya rarely ever had the chance to speak directly with the parents of dead tributes so soon after their passing. More than half of the time, she never actually saw the parents in Eight. But being in the Capitol came with its own set of problems - including the Chavez family that had just watched their son die. Surya tried to be attentive, sympathetic, but she used the excuse of “administrative mentor duties” to leave the conversation and find a spot at a Tower bar as soon as possible. “It never gets easier with the parents,” she sighed out when she found another mentor. “I’m sorry about Lumba, by the way.”

Are you sure about it? Estou me sentindo tão... estranha nesse vestido.
Tenho a impressão que todo mundo aqui acha que eu não deveria estar nesse evento.
@burke-asher
Não estou entendendo o seu espanto. Você realmente achou que eu não saberia que você contratou uma nova autora? Essa editora também é minha, Asher. Eu que faço a contabilidade e os contratos.

Asher had been hearing about the local Halloween festivities that were taking place in their small town for weeks now due to his five year old daughter, Evelyn ( or Evie ), continuously asking if they could go. He wasn’t opposed to taking the little girl, but he knew that it would be crowded and his slight anxiety about being the only one there to watch her was taking a toll on him. The male peered over at the other person in the room who he had been seeing for some time now before running his fingers through his unruly locks. “Hey, Evie and I wanted to know if you would want to go with us to the Halloween festival this weekend?” Asher questioned as a soft smile graced his lips. He knew that watching his daughter was his main responsibility, but he would feel more comfortable with another trusted adult to help out since he was only one person and he thought they would be the best person for that.
