The life of a modern witch was in one word, expensive. Between certain spells Valeria needed to cast for luck to the hexing spells she used for protection, resources drained quick. So did her cash. Hence why she found herself pushing a shopping cart in the grocery store nearby her apartment, eyes scanning each aisle she came across. An assortment of spices, herbs, and some treats for her furry friend pooled at the bottom of the cart. Tripod, the three-legged black cat seated in the child seat meowed at her owner.
“Hush, I need to find the right paper plates and if you’re not going to help me, be quiet,” The witch snapped, playfully glaring at the animal. Continuing down the aisle, Valeria spotted the set she needed, going towards it. As she neared it, the blonde realized how high up the plates were. Internally, she wanted to scream. It would have been so easy to snap her fingers and use her powers to bring it towards her. But she was in public, it would be stupid to do that. Instead, she found herself climbing up on the lowest shelf to try and grab the item. After nearly falling off twice, she accepted defeat and sought out help. Spotting a person a few feet from her that looked to have a few inches over her, she went to get their attention.
“Could you please help me out? I’m not the tallest person here and I can’t reach the plates on the top shelf.” How embarrassing.
